nine days

nine days until i leave. i still don't think it's sunk in yet.

life has been super extra great lately, and very busy. work has been particularly crazy as my bosses and associates realize i'm leaving so soon. i've started to tell clients about my "personal leave of absence," and they keep asking if i'm having a baby. uh, not just yet.

a couple of weeks ago i got to go to toronto for a beautiful wedding. i'm so thrilled for K&A, who are ridiculously adorable together, and they threw a mighty fine international party (she's from brazil via canada, he's from the states, and can i just say portuguese is a gorgeous language?) to celebrate their union. i got to reunite with some other toronto friends as well.

the road trip there and back was also oddly wonderful, even though i was in a non-air-conditioned SUV tightly packed with me and four guys. i kept telling myself i had to toughen up in preparation for living out in the sticks in the south pacific for two months. we just called it an adventure and had a great time. i haven't even had a chance to transfer my photos of the wedding and niagara falls &c., but if there are any decent ones i'll post them here. so i guess this post is really just a tease...
