calligraphesque.
dare i call this calligraphy? not really. it's calligraphesque: words not so much written as drawn and embellished. like illumination, only not as good. the file sizes are fairly large. there are more coming but i haven't gotten around to scanning them in yet.
these are scans of what i did with paper, with no digital alteration.

i just dug this one up from an old high school diary. 'vivre' — 'to live':
this last huge one was actually a project for a friend of mine, entitled "how do they see me?" -- a sort of collective creative expression of how a bunch of people thought the world viewed them. as far as i know, i was the only one who completed my portion of the project. oh well.
